5th Anniversary!

I can't believe it but it's been 5 years since we got married. I know it's cliche to say, but time really has flown. It's been my little joke to say that my wedding was like 9-11 and I'm not trying to be disrespectful to an event that effective so many lives. But my wedding is just one of those days where you can remember every detail of that day and how you probably almost died. I told this to Meikel once and she laughed at me and then proceeded to tell me exactly everything she did that day. See.

If you didn't come to my wedding, you'll probably still remember the day. Nov. 22, 2003 (obviously) and the biggest game of the year (BYU vs. U of U) and the biggest storm of the year. I think it was reported that there were more than 300 accidents when people were trying to drive home from the game and most of our family was stuck in that traffic hence the reason I hear so many stories of how they almost died on their way to my wedding reception.

Anyway, my veil should give you an idea of the weather that morning..

However, the new snow did make for good pictures. I loved the yellow trees and snow on the ground. But man, I wish I got married in the digital era - which makes me feel really old to say but, I feel like I have hardly any pictures.

Despite the bad weather, it was such an awesome day because I got to marry such a hottie. I couldn't have asked for someone better or more sweet.

I also thought it would be funny to see how everyone else looked on my wedding day.

Oh that day...I'm glad you guys didn't die. AND that you've lasted five years. AND that you now number three instead of two.

Really I'm just glad Steve found such a wonderful girl to join the fam. We really like the Tieks.

Al, I remember the night well. I think it took us about three hours to get from Provo to your reception. But it was totally worth it :)

Yep. I remember that day! And I for sure remember walking into Wheeler Farm and almost falling to my death...(ya know, heels and ice don't mix) And I LOVE that you hate that your pics aren't digital like me...that's what we get for getting married SO long ago...ya know, back in the non-digital days! Ha! I completely understand... Your pics are gorgeous, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! (That means ours is now just a couple months away...)

I just wanted to add, excuse you 'london friend?' I think my title has far surpassed london friend! I demand to be categorized as simply friend. Friend for every occasion, friend for the ages.
How does that title sound to you!?
