Kalai

Last night we had so much fun going to a private Kalai performance. Dan Brandt's dad is Kalai's biggest fan (his wife calls him Mel, for you FOTC fans) after seeing Kalai for the first time 2 months ago. Dan's dad arranged the concert at his home where there were only about 30 people and it was amazing! He is seriously talented.

We bought C hoping that he would soon fall asleep but it didn't work out quite that well. At first, C loved it and I have a video of C grooving to the music but when I posted it, you really couldn't see anything but black. Anyway, 5 minutes after that video was taken, Kalai had a hot mic and the loud noise scared Cohen so bad he started crying and everyone laughed. Poor kid was traumatized and it took quite some time for him to calm down and go to sleep.

Here's a short clip from last night. I wish I could have filmed everything. One of my favorite parts was when he sang Come Together; it sounded a lot like the Across the Universe version which I loved!

I highly recommend going to a private Kalai concert (or any concert) if you are ever given the opportunity. Thanks, Brandts!

I'm proud of you for taking Cohen out with you and not missing out on the fun of being with friends. I admire that you guys still do so many fun things even though you have a baby, way to go. Have fun at the SFF tonight!
