When I was pregnant with Cohen, I would tell everyone he was coming early whether he liked it or not. He was due June 30 and my parents were leaving (for what we thought would be two years, but was thankfully only one) to Nigeria on June 26. Thank heavens, that little boy actually listened. Cohen came 2 weeks early giving me time to somewhat recover, bless him when he was 6 days old and say good-bye to Mogo and Poppop.
Well, this little girl seems to have listened to me as well....whether I like it or not. With her official due date of Feb. 18, I told the doctor back in December that and I quote, "I would be happy if she came late" given that we are moving and all. Although that is true in theory, it is much more difficult in practice. Having Cohen come at 38 weeks makes me feel way overdue now that I'm officially 39 weeks. But, I really shouldn't complain, I'm not dying of discomfort for the most part. I sleep great (except when Cohen decides to cry all night because he wants to sleep with us) and it's much easier to pack boxes when I only have one little person to attend to.
Anyway, if this little girl continues to be so obedient, my money says she'll come next week.
And for a quick house update - it definitely feels more like home now that we've taken out a few walls, put in a couple others, added a few can lights and made a huge mess of the place. Once we've cleaned up a little more, I'll be sure to post pictures.
